I would like to welcome viewers, artists and jurors taking part in the 28th International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! in Poznań. The audience on the lookout for great films that do not only entertain but also teach is bound to walk away fully satisfied from this year's festival screenings.
For 40 years, the organizers of Poznań's Ale Kino! Festival take great care to select films that undergo evaluation by three different groups - the adult jury that embraces cinema industry representatives, the children's jury and the young people's jury. As a result, it is a festival prepared not only for but also by young viewers.
The magic of cinema appeals to viewers of any age, but its largest impact is on the young audience, whose imagination and artistic sensitivity are being developed. For many people, the first film show in life tends to be one of the most treasured memories.
Let me wish a lot of unforgettable experiences to all cinema lovers, young and old, who visit the festival. I would also like wish a lot of joy to the youngest festival-goers who are just beginning their fantastic cinema adventure.
