Vic Sarin


As a director and cinematographer Vic Sarin has well over 100 films to his credit. He is a passionate and diverse filmmaker who has received numerous accolades for his feature films, documentaries and television movies, including the prestigious Kodak Lifetime Achievement Award. Sarin's outstanding work on feature films such as Margaret's Museum, Whale Music, Bye Bye Blues, Dancing in the Dark and On My Own has earned him world renown as one of Canada's premier cinematographers. As a director, Sarin has won recognition for a diverse range of films such as the feature Cold Comfort and Partition, and films for television In His Father's Shoes and Trial at Fortitude Bay. Sarin's most recent work was the family feature film A Shine of Rainbows, which he co-wrote and directed. The film has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Truly Moving Picture Award in the US.
