Maciej Szczerbowski
A director, animator. In 1997 Maciek Szczerbowski with Chris Lavis formed the artistic partnership called Clyde Henry Productions. Under this nom de plume the pair has created award-winning films, ads, illustrations, and music videos. Their first professional film, Madame Tutli-Putli, produced by the National Film Board of Canada, received two awards at Cannes and a 2007 Academy Award nomination. In 2010 they released two films: Higglety Pigglety Pop! - an adaptation of a story by Maurice Sendak, starring the voices of Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker, and Spike Jonze, and L'Anneé de L'Os, a seven-minute animated short with music by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Maciek Szczerbowski was born in Poznań and his family emigrated to Canada in the 1980s.
