Children's Jury citations: Live-action films 2010
Marcinek prize goes to the film that surprised us with it unpredictability, shocked us and touched our hearts. Far from being sentimental, the film presents a number of vital and difficult problems such as orphanhood and poverty making children look for employment which is not always honest. The film is “The Children of Diyarbakir" directed by Miraz Bezar.
We decided to give special mention to an amazing and magical film. It is a humorous and touching story of a little boy and his family. It appeals both to young and adult audiences. Its message is “Don't give up!" We are pleased to announce that the special mention goes to “Twigson" by Asleik Engmark.
